Pre-Work Requirements
1.1 Asbestos Switchboards
- Any switchboards containing asbestos materials must be upgraded and replaced before any electrical works can commence
- Asbestos identification and removal will be conducted prior to works, with safe disposal
- Works will not proceed until asbestos-free certification is provided
1.2 Switchboard Defects
- All existing switchboard defects must be rectified before new works can commence
- Defects include but are not limited to: damaged enclosures, non-compliant wiring, missing labels, inadequate earthing, or safety hazards
- A comprehensive switchboard inspection will be conducted prior to commencement

Compliance and Safety
2.1 Regulatory Compliance
- All works must comply with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and WA Electrical Requirements
- Works require appropriate electrical permits and inspections as mandated
- Switchboard modifications must meet current Australian Standards
2.2 Safety Requirements
- Main power isolation required during works (temporary power loss expected)
- Safety barriers and warning signage will be installed during works
- All personnel must wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols

Scope Limitations
3.1 Existing Infrastructure
- Works are limited to the agreed scope; additional defects discovered may require separate quotation
- Meter box modifications or upgrades may require separate Western Power approval
- Existing cable conditions may affect work feasibility and will be assessed on-site
3.2 Access Requirements
- Clear and safe access to switchboard location must be maintained
- Customer responsible for removing stored items or obstacles
- Works may be delayed if adequate access is not provided

Testing and Certification
4.1 Mandatory Testing
- All circuits will be tested for insulation resistance, earth continuity, and RCD functionality
- Test results must meet Australian Standards before works are deemed complete
- Electrical Safety Certificate will be issued upon successful completion
4.2 Non-Compliance Issues
- Any circuits failing testing requirements must be rectified before completion
- Additional costs for remedial works will be quoted separately
- Works cannot be certified until all circuits meet safety standards

Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Preparation
- Ensure all electrical appliances are switched off before works commence
- Provide safe working environment free from hazards
- Arrange alternative power sources if required for essential equipment
5.2 Post-Work Requirements
- Customer must not interfere with or modify completed works
- Any subsequent electrical works must be performed by licensed electricians
- Maintain clear access to switchboard for future maintenance

Warranty and Liability
6.1 Workmanship Guarantee
- Sarros Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee applies to all installation works
- Guarantee covers workmanship defects only (not equipment failures)
- Original purchaser at original address only; non-transferable
6.2 Limitation of Liability
- Sarros not liable for pre-existing electrical faults or defects
- Customer responsible for any damage to personal property during power isolation
- Force majeure events may affect completion timeframes

Variation Management
- Any changes to original scope require written approval
- Additional costs will be quoted before proceeding with variations
- Customer may refuse variations, but original scope must still meet safety standards

Completion and Handover
8.1 Work Completion
- Circuit directory labels will be updated to reflect new configuration
- Customer briefing on new switchboard operation and safety features
- All relevant documentation and certificates provided
8.2 Final Inspection
- Customer sign-off required before works deemed complete
- Any concerns must be raised before final payment
- Photo documentation retained for quality assurance

By proceeding with switchboard works, the customer acknowledges understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
